Since we are coming to the close of another year and I've lost all of my old posts that I eventually wanted to put into a book, I thought i would play a little catch up and reminisce over our last year.
| In January we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. I'll skip the details but it is a wonderful feeling knowing I get to spend eternity with this man. |
| Feb wasn't so nice to us. I had a really HORRIFIC surgery . here is the battle scar, I'm not quite sure who won, the doctor or myself but I survived so... |
| I came home from the hospital after 5 days in ICU just in time for Bela to turn 6 years old. Kolby and my mom and sister pulled off an awesome party and it was everything that Bela needed at that time. |
| In March Talin turned 4 and batman came to make his day |
| I have to add this because Kira looks like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. |
| In June Bela graduated kindergarten. She was so sad (and still to this day has a hard time) that she had to leave her teacher. Mrs. Wening was AWESOME. Even we were sad. |
| In July, Kolby and I had the opportunity of a kid free trip to Zion. Kolbys brother and his wife came with us and we went tubing down the Virgin River. We promised to make it an annual thing..we had SO much fun. |
| My sister and her husband have an AWESOME boat and my nephews taught Bela how to knee board. She is such a brave girl. It was a little scary watching my little girl out in this big open water but she LOVED every minute of it. |
| Belas first day of 1st grade. She wrote I love you, dad on this for Kolby and wanted me to take a picture and send it to him. Such a sweet heart. |
| Talins first day of pre-k |
| missing 2 front teeth |
| Kira turned 2 in Sept. This is her with her cousin Layla. They are both so adorable. I wish Kira could have lucked out with Laylas adorable curls. |
| Talin and Kira had a visit with an eye dr. Talin has some severe problems with his far sighted-ness that could lead to lazy eyes, so this boy is in glasses and we are hoping to prevent surgery in the near future. Kira on the other hand, passed with flying colors and for now does not need them. But she wanted the free pair of shades. |
| Belas class took a field trip to the dolphin exhibit at the mirage and I was asked to come along. She read the book "Dolphin Tail" and saw the movie so she was really excited to get to see a live dolphin. |
| Kolby and I took a trip to St. George to see this AWESOME concert. Collin Raye sings a few songs that are really sentimental to Kolby and I so we celebrated Kolbys 29th birthday with this guy!!! |
| a 'before there is too much snow' trip to the cabin with my sisters and their families. Those are Kiras snow balls she made with my nephew Scott to peg Kolby and some of the kids when they got back from Rhino rides. |
| My biker hunk |
| I love him |
every year we ride the Santa train in Boulder City as one of our family traditions. The kids LOVE it. I think next year we may step it up a notch and try out the polar express in AZ.
So that's a quick re-cap of 2011 for us. We hope that 2011 has been just as blessed and wonderful for you as it has been for us. |
